TikTok Introduces In-App Business Creative Hub

TikTok is launching Business Creative Hub, an in-app resource offering guidance and inspiration for businesses starting out on its platform.

TikTok offers anyone the ability to go viral on its platform with content that is simple, crazy, or strange. For many brands, it’s hard to understand where even to start tapping into this very different video trend – as it calls for a different approach than on other platforms. The main issue that many are facing, though, is a lack of inspiration for new content to post.

To help them, TikTok is introducing a new in-app Business Creative Hub, a free resource available to all TikTok Business Account users, offering guidance, inspiration, and best practices.

TikTok’s Business Creative Hub is an expansion of the TikTok Business Account, which was introduced last year, allowing businesses of all kinds and sizes to set up a TikTok profile, build their brand presence with organic content, and grow their business with several tools available to them. Business Account users can access real-time metrics, audience insights, call-to-action buttons, and more – for free.

To get to the Business Creative Hub, switch to a Business Account first. You can then find the Business Creative Hub under the ‘Business suite’ section in the ‘Settings and privacy’ menu within the app. Once activated, you can explore the Business Content Guide and the Video Showcase – which is continually updated.

TikTok describes the Business Content Guide as “a cheat sheet for any business to easily get the hang of using TikTok” to promote a brand.

Apart from inspiration, content strategy tips, ideas for storylines, and tips on how to shoot video, it also offers practical tips for businesses to get the most out of their business account. These include setting up a profile, the best times to post on TikTok, content moderation tips, and more.

It also showcases Success Stories for brands to see how others are doing it.

The Video Showcase offers three curated feeds of trending TikTok content popular in a specific country during the last 30 days.

  • Trending: Business, shows videos from other Business Accounts in the same country, ranked by the total number of likes they’ve received.
  • Engaging: Business, shows a similar selection of popular Business Account content but is ranked by the level of engagement, measured by the ratio of comments to video views.
  • Trending: Community, shows videos from all account types, ranked by the total number of likes received.
